ECRA Accreditation Process
1- Application
Begin your journey toward excellence by expressing your interest in ECRA accreditation. Submit an application form, and our team will review it to ensure your center meets the eligibility criteria and is prepared to embark on the accreditation process.
2- Self-Assessment
Take the first step in evaluating your center's performance. Using the tools provided by ECRA, conduct a comprehensive self-assessment. This process helps you identify both your strengths and areas where improvement is needed, setting the stage for a successful accreditation experience.
3- Evidence Collection
Gather and document evidence across all critical areas as outlined by ECRA standards. This includes demonstrating your center's practices, policies, and outcomes in child learning, safety, staff qualifications, and more. Submit the evidence through the designated ECRA portal for a thorough review.
4- On-Site Assessment
ECRA assessors will visit your center to observe its daily operations up close. During this on-site visit, assessors evaluate your center against ECRA’s standards by observing activities, conducting interviews, and reviewing evidence on-site. This visit includes direct observation of various age groups and an assessment of compliance with required ratios and standards.
5- Final Evaluation & Report
Following the on-site visit, our assessors compile their findings into a detailed report. This report provides a comprehensive evaluation of your center’s performance across all quality domains, highlighting strengths and offering suggestions for development. Your center will receive a tier rating based on this overall evaluation.
6- Accreditation Decision
Based on the final evaluation, your center will be awarded a quality accreditation and assigned a rating tier (1-5). This accreditation is a testament to your commitment to quality and is valid for three (3) years.
7- Quality Improvement
Accreditation is just the beginning. ECRA encourages continuous improvement post-accreditation. Use the recommendations provided to create your own action plans or work with approved quality advisors. Submit your action plan as part of your annual report to maintain and enhance the quality of your center.
